The Nikon 1 Series is arriving on October 24 and Amazon on Wednesday began taking pre-orders for the J1 $649 and the V1 $1,149.
It features several standard options a 2.7X crop factor and a 10.1-megapixel CMOS sensor with mirrorless interchangeable system that fits below the Micro Four Thirds format. The new digital cameras also feature the first Nikon range to sport the dual-core Expeed 3 processor with a fast 73-point, phase-based autofocusing system.
J1 and V1 also offer video recording performance that can achieve 60 frames per second with autofocus locked. It also offers 1080p recording with 30 frames per second. Nikon claims normal ISO ranges of 100 to 3,200 while pushing up to ISO 6,400 in manual mode.
Nikon will also offer various lenses for both the Nikon 1 J1 and Nikon 1 V1. Lenses for the 1 series include:
*10mm f2.8 pancake ($250), a 10-100mm f4-5.6 lens with powered zoom ($750), and a 30-110mm f3.8-5.6 telephoto.
Users who want the Speedlight and GPS units will pay an additional $150.
