Dolores Hope, the widow of Bob Hope has passed away at the age of 102. The singer,who put her carrer on hold after her marriage on a comedian, died on natural causes on Monday ( September 19 ) at her home in Toluca, said her publicist B. Harlan Boll.
Born Dolores DeFina, she was raised in the Bronx, New York. In 1936, she began her carrer in singing and change her name in Dlores Reade.
She was introduce to Bob when she was singing at the Vogue club in Manhattan. The pair tied the knot in February 1934, and remain marriage for nearly 70 years when he died in July 2003 at the age of 100.
A private funeral is planned to take the place on Friday September 23 at the Bob Home Memorial Garden at San Fernando Mission, California, where Bob was interred.
