Sinunggaban ni Diane ang pagkakataon. Hanggang sa ma-realize niya na papasok na pala siya bilang isa mga housemates. "Sa dulo na lang talaga when I finally met Direk Lauren (Dyogi) doon na lang nag-sink in sa akin na, ‘Uy these guys find me interesting even if don’t have like a sob story.’ Joining a reality show isn’t really limited on the kind of story that you have. The personality (also counts) I guess. Siguro fun ako. Makikita n’yo.”
Inamin din ni Diane na kaka-break lang niya sa boyfriend niya of six years. Kuwento niya, nakipag-break siya dahil tila wala siyang nakikitang future. “If you’re in a relationship that long the next step is planning in the future. There were instances that hindered my then boyfriend na makapag-plan. I didn’t expect him (to say) pakasal na tayo. I know he’s not ready, I’m not ready. All I wanted really was a plan, the next step but it seemed to me it was taxing for him to make plans in the future. I got hurt. How else will you move forward with ganung problem? I decided to break up with him. I think it was the next best thing to do. I want him to realize na ‘yung mga relationship dumadating sa puntong ganon you can’t make iwas forever.”
