R.I.P Rj Rosales

The 37 year old, RJ Rosales,  Filipino-Australian stage actor.



RJ passed away last Sunday, December 4, in Sydney. Although the cause of his death has yet to be confirmed, rumors about it ranging from heart attack to suicide.



Star Magic, handled RJ's career in the country, releases the following statement:

"Star Magic sympathizes with RJ's family in his untimely demise. We ask everyone to pray for the eternal repose of RJ's soul."

RJ started his career in the Australian Production of the hit broadway musical "Miss Saigon" in 1996. After that, he moved to Singapore in 1998 where he appeared in several musicals like "Chang and Eng: The Musical", "The Student Prince", "Man of Letters", "Cabaret" and "Forbidden City" and Singaporean shows such as "Spin" and "Style Doctors."

In the Philippines, he became part of ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime variety show "ASAP". and the defunct Kapamilya shows like "Attagirl" and "Da Pilya n Da Pilot" in 2011 and "Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka." Last 2008, RJ got the nod of Philippine film critics for his role as Reginald Tuason in Regal Film's Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Blue Moon" and got nominated Best Supporting Actor. Late 2007, RJ left the Philippines to star in the revival production of Miss Saigon in Australia in 2008 in which he portrayed the role of Thuy and earned him his Best Supporting Actor in a Musical nomination in the 2007 Helpmann Awards.
