President Obama: Appointed Shakira to Education Commission!

President Obama appointed the colombian singer Shakira, to a Presidential Commission on Education for Hispanics. Shakira has been involved in early childhood education in Latin America for years and she endorsed President Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign.

Also appointed, Nancy Navarro, the only Hispanic member of the Montgomery County Council and a former Montgomery Board of Education president.
